Provincial assessment
Understanding EQAO.
The Education Quality and Accountability Office is an independent Ontario government agency that assesses how well students are meeting provincial curriculum expectations.

What is assessed
Ontario students typically complete reading, writing, and mathematics assessments in Grades 3 and 6.

What the results mean
EQAO assessments measure understanding of curriculum expectations and do not replace classroom assessment or report-card grades.

How results are used
Results can help identify strengths, track progress over time, guide instructional planning, and give families another view of student learning.

How to apply

- 02The Academy contacts your family to arrange in-person registration when space is available
- 03Complete the registration documents and an academic assessment if one is required
- 04Receive the admissions decision after the application has been reviewed
